National Pet Week Poster Contest
The Auxiliary to the American Veterinary Medical Association is pleased to announce their annual artistic Poster Contest. The contest will be for the year 2011 and submitted posters should center around the 2011 National Pet Week theme “Save a Life – Adopt a Pet”.

The poster may be any size and must be colorful. Do not fold, staple, or send by fax. The use of crayons is discouraged because of reproductive capabilities. Magic markers, dark colored pencils, and watercolor in bright shades, etc. tend to make a more attractive and reproductive entry. Posters with photos, magazine cut-outs, or additional of this type are automatically disqualified. Original artwork is encouraged. Applications must be attached to the poster in some fashion and all pertinent information must be filled in.

Posters may be submitted by children, art students, college students, or professional artists. There is no age restriction.

The national winner will receive a $300.00 cash award. Judging will be based on originality, content, and the use of the theme “Save a Life – Adopt a Pet’

Submission of a poster and application form entitles the Auxiliary to the AVMA to publish and promote the poster in their projects, promotions, or publications. Posters will not be returned and become the property of the Auxiliary.

All entries must have the artist’s name, home address, home phone number, and e-mail address. Do not enter posters with school information, names, or addresses.
